From the “Blue” Gene Tryanny Collection
Amazing first edition hardback that includes some remarkable ephemera and extras:
assorted Cage-related press clippings
museum and gallery promotional materials relating to Cage
a personal postcard addressed to “Blue” Gene Tyranny regarding his participation in the 1996 annual John Cage Reading at St. Mark’s Church. He needed to arrive “before 7:30 … and [to] keep it to 6 minutes or less.”
Also some kind of scoring notes from “Blue” for a piece about Morris Graves that appears to transcribe correspond to Cage’s piece included in this book, see Page 111.
And much more …
Book is exceptionally clean, includes dust jacket and sharp corners. Appears unread.
To call this one of a kind is an understatement.
